The village kept its traditional way of life, farming on the rice fields, growing fruits and vegetables, working around the house and the routine of daily offerings and ceremonies

MAYONG TRACKING EXPERIENCE

Short walk 3 hours or 4 hours long walk
 
I would welcome you to a trip my home village of Mayong, located 19 kilometers south of Lovina, away from busy World.  During 4 hours hike you will be taken through the beautiful surrounding of mayong, along the hill to Rice terraces (Sawah)
where you can absorb the breathtaking views,then down into the  scenic valley where you will have to wade though stream (possibly with some help), the final part of this walk takes us back up the hill past  Cocoa plantation and tropical fruits.

Your helpful, English speaking guide will offer a full explanation on the trees,plants,and herbs that you will encounter along the way.
An opportunity to observe the lifestyle of the traditional Balinese people and their faith will also be experienced as the trip visits a small farming village (Kampong) where time stood still and a animistic temple.

We try to limit the number of hikers on each trip to 8 to keep the experience personal and so everyone  can get the most out of the adventure, even for the inexperience hikers this walk is relatively easy, all this required  is good sturdy pair of walking shoes.

This experience has to be Booked 2-3 days in advance, Putu Artana prefer to have Knowledge  of any special requirements to provided with the best possible time for you and your party.
